REPORT FROM THE U.S.—Listening to Robert Habeeb describe theWit hotel in downtown Chicago, it’s easy to confuse the property for a person. That’s intentional, said Habeeb, who as president and COO of First Hospitality Group oversees management of the 274-room property.

The SLS Hotel at Beverly Hills is the first in a new chain of hotels part of SBE’s Luxury Collection, and simply calling it luxurious is a bit of an understatement. SBE CEO Sam Nazarian has done it again, using another one of Philippe Starck’s (Katsuya) inspired design concepts to create an elegant, sophisticated atmosphere for this Stylish, Luxurious, Service-oriented new hotel.
“Where should we eat tonight?” is a question often proceeded by a list of different types of food. Chinese? Mexican? Steak? Then, which has the best food? Which restaurant has the best value? While you ask yourself who makes a better pizza, the restaurant asks, “What (besides the food) will make the customer stay and have the most enjoyable experience possible?”
